Regional Championships - Sunderland Aquatic Centre

A squad of 8 represented CASA at the British Gas Youth and Senior Regional Championships held at Sunderland Aquatic Centre on 1-2nd May 2010. The team comprised of Jasmin Kirk (16), Lauren York (15), Ashleigh Fletcher (16), Thomas Paine(15), Leah Altoft(15), Bradley Horsfall(15), Zoe Lansley Hogg(14), and Natalie Sharman(14).
The weekend of events saw all swimmers compete against some of the best in the country and all posting times close to their pb's in most events. Good pb's were recorded by Bradley and Zoe while Leah achieved her National time in the 200m backstroke and swam in the finals of the 50 &100 fly 200 & 400im and the 200 backstroke.
The girls also competed in the 4x100 freestyle relay ( Natalie Sharman, Leah Altoft, Lauren York and Jasmin Kirk) and the 4x100 medley relay (Lauren York , Jasmin Kirk, Leah Altoft and Ashleigh Fletcher). The girls swam into 9 position in both relays .

Jasmin swam into the top 20 in 2 events ( 400im and 200 Breaststroke), while Lauren swam into the top 20 in 4 events (50 ,100 and 200 Breaststroke and the 400im)
