Fundraising Newsletter
A
committed Barclays employee who works at Barclays, Scunthorpe, took time out
from their day job recently to get involved in fundraising activities to support
Scunthorpe Anchor Swimming Club.
In total Tracy Connor raised a well deserved £750.00 by collecting prizes and selling raffle tickets for the club's summer raffle.
Furthermore, the money raised will be matched pound for pound, up to £750.00 as part of the Barclays Community Investment "Charity Begins at Work" Programme, bringing the total to £1500.00.
Jeannie
Marsh, Community Advisor for Barclays said, "At Barclays we strive to strengthen
local communities in which we live and work by
supporting
a range of causes from local schools to centres for older people. This is a
fantastic example of Barclays staff fundraising with the local community to
achieve something which we hope will make a real and lasting difference."
Zoe Newton of Scunthorpe Anchor said "Thanks to Tracy Connor and Barclays the funding will now enable the club to strive forward and further develop the swimming skills of our talented members.”
At Barclays, we take our responsibilities seriously. We're really proud of our leading community investment programme.
