November was a busy month for the club with swimmers travelling to Knottingley to compete in the Barnsley Minors Championships and then towards the end of the month the club held it's annual Club Championships.

Barnsley Minors Championships - 27 swimmers attended the two session meet and came away with 31 'Podium' medals, of which 8 were Gold! WELL DONE! These Championships were also a 'first time' for a few members who all did themselves proud. A 'Thank You' to Stuart, for organising our entries and attending the event to help chaperone the swimmers. There is a question whether the championships will run next year - but if the event does go ahead, the club would like to see a higher attendance, especially from the newer / younger swimmers within the club.

Club Championships - once again, another good effort from the club putting on a well organised event. For the second year running it has been a licensed event with qualifying times for Yorkshire Championship 2012 the target for many of our swimmers and they did not disappoint with many times being achieved. A couple of notable mentions must go to Scott Strong & Lauren York who have set a couple of new club records, and one of the other memorable moments was Kamya Ghandi completing her 200m Free and being clapped in for the last 50m! Great Achievements by ALL!
Of course a BIG Thank You to all the volunteers who helped the event run smoothly.
